In the Words of my Clients

"I started working with Erinn at a time in my life when I was feeling untethered. Through meaningful discussions, she provided me with tools and resources that helped me understand my why. She guided me to create an action plan, and held me accountable to sticking to it. All of this was done in a way where I felt in charge…Erinn led me where I needed to go and gave me the tools to do the work. I feel much more grounded and focused since I started working with Erinn! "I was struggling with some aspects of my managerial role, which no formal training or research could solve.  I needed to speak with someone who could relate to me and my professional responsibilities.  Speaking with Erinn was awesome!  She wasted no time understanding my situation, and I always felt comfortable in our discussions which provided new perspectives and benefits from the very first session.  Ultimately, I discovered insights and personal tools which helped me help myself.  Thank you Erinn for unlocking those doors for me that were previously stuck."

Frequently Asked Questions

Please contact me if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as partnering in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires a person to maximize their personal and professional potential.

Coaching is a process that begins and ends with the fundamental belief that every individual is an expert in his or her life. A coaching session is designed to create a thought-provoking and stimulating dialogue to help you tap your own inner wisdom and develop a mindset to achieve your goals. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity and leadership.

We start by focusing on your vision (what does success in this area look like?) move to planning (what tactically needs to happen to get you there?) and then goal setting.  Working with you as the expert in your life, my goal is to create and hold the space for you to build new pathways to success and achieve the results you desire. Working with me you can expect to

  • Discover and clarify what you want to achieve
  • Unleash your own solutions and strategies
  • Establish self-determined action items to move you closer to your goals between coaching sessions
  • Be accountable and responsible for achieving the results you define

Coaching is not the same thing as mentoring or therapy. By contrast, coaching focuses on facilitating individuals or groups to draw upon their own experiences and capabilities to set and reach their own objectives. The coach is the expert in the coaching process, but you are the expert on your life journey.

Coaching is an investment in yourself and your future. It’s a transformative experience that can empower you in ways you may have never thought possible. When you partner with a coach, you’ll find that you already have the answers to many of your most important questions about yourself and your life, business, work, and more – your coach will simply help you unlock them.

Coaching can have many benefits for you dependent on your specific goals and challenges. According to ICF, the Top 3 Results Reported by Coaching Clients are:

  • Improved communication skills
  • Increased self-esteem / self-confidence
  • Increased productivity

Some of my clients have reported improved satisfaction with personal relationships, improved performance in the workplace, and better clarity while making major decisions.

No two coaching clients are the same, so each engagement is tailored to your specific challenges, objectives and goals.  However, there is a basic format an engagement will follow.

  • Initial meeting to discuss your challenges and goal.  Agreement upon duration of the engagement, scope of our work, duration and frequency of our meetings.  We'll create a high level plan to use as our guide along the way.
  • By the end of our first meeting, we'll also decide if we have the right chemistry to work together.  Coaching is a highly personal experience which involves a strong personal commitment.  The match needs to feel right for us both or we will not be able to do our best work.   If it is not a good fit, I am happy to connect you to a coach in my network who may better support you.
  • Upon completing our initial meeting, we are ready to begin our engagement.  Primarily, we will engage via regularly scheduled meetings over Zoom - usually for an hour every other week.  The break between meetings is designed to give you the space, time and focus you need to create change.
  • Every meeting starts with a check-in, where are we now, what insights and/or actions have happened, what are next steps and then we end with a check-out.  Focused and targeted on your goals and plan.
  • In between sessions support is available to you via email or text.  We can also have brief phone calls, if warranted.  You are also encouraged to use other resources (videos, articles, content, books, etc.) relevant to your coaching objective.
  • Toward the end of our engagement, we will assess where you are, check our success milestones and make sure your objective is either in reach or you are ready to continue on your own.

Please schedule time with me for a coaching introduction.  Or if you'd prefer to read more about coaching, the International Coaching Federation (ICF) has a wealth of information about coaching.  You can find it here: https://experiencecoaching.com/blog/
